Unfortunately, Friday night, our beloved member, brother, and great human Nate Proto was killed after leaving the gym to attend a call out (as a tow truck driver) to a breakdown on Forest Hwy. Nate was at the gym gearing up for sparring when he got the call out. He let us know he had to leave, and we looked forward to seeing him Monday. Unfortunately, Monday never came. Whilst working a Landcruiser which ignored all of the lights, speed limits and barriers struck Nate at high speeds, and he passed away instantly. To say we are devastated is an understatement. Why do people drive like they are invincible? We see it every day, people doing 70km in 50 zones where kids are playing? People driving at 80km next to road workers where you are meant to be doing 40kms? It makes me angry... but now is not the time for anger. I understand that. However, people need to check themselves and show some regard for human life when driving.
Nate was a great young man and a true Martial Artist. Whos life has been cut short because someone thought that the rules dont apply to them. He will not be forgotten😢🥷🩵
